i did a bunch of variations on this outfit, i get so fussy with fashion and sometimes i get immobilized by liking each design equally. drawing digitally also allows for endless variations and edits and it's hard for me to figure out when to stop and commit.
i was inspired to do this drawing by some readers/fans who really liked the character and wanted to see more of her. they pointed out i hadn't done any full-color Kyisha illustrations like i'd done of the other characters so i set to work! i actually have done color pictures of her before, this drawing is a revamp of an old Kyisha sketch, but i drew them years ago back in the comic's early stages when Kyisha didn't look like she does now. some people remarked they didn't know Kyisha's hair was blue since she's always black & white in the comic, i realized that was kind of an oversight on my part. whoops.
anyway, Kyisha is one of my favorites, i guess i never drew any color pics of her because her relationships with the other characters are strange and not easily depicted in a pin-up, i don't know. i think she works great just by herself. i'm always pleasantly surprised by which characters seem to be the most popular, i can never predict it.
